Kimberley Hasselbrink is an editorial and commercial photographer who is based in San Francisco, CA, but travels often for work.
There are many things that she loves in life: hiking tall mountains, long drives on empty roads with old country music, foggy light, colorful produce, huge messy meals with a bunch of her favorite people, and telling stories with her camera.
She has always been passionate about telling stories. When she was younger, she roamed the west on frequent road trips, shooting off-the-cuff with cheap film cameras and capturing the details of the landscape. She went to art school and pursued a degree in Furniture Design, thinking it was practical, all the while borrowing photo equipment from the lab and spending much of her free time traveling and creating images.
Kimberley has an eye for details, color, texture, and unscripted moments. She loves collaborating with people and is as comfortable navigating a shoot on her own as she is working with a team in a studio setting.
Last year, she released her first cookbook, Vibrant Food, which was a finalist in the prestigious IACP culinary awards.
Clients include: Williams-Sonoma, Bon Appetit, Ten Speed Press, Weldon-Owen, San Francisco Magazine, Edible San Francisco, Good Eggs, California Olive Ranch, Devoto Cider, Kinfolk Magazine, and Etsy.
